Terry Fox Run
On October 1, 2009 
we held our annual Terry Fox Run/Walk. Students took the afternoon off to run or walk for cancer research. Grades 2-12 students took a 5 mile route while Kindergarten and Grade 1 students took a shorter one. At the end of the run there were hotdogs donated by Rawlake's Store. All the hot dogs were prepared by the members of the SCC for which we are greatly thankful. A special thank you goes out to Sterling Switzer and members of the RCMP for helping at checkpoints and watching students as they walked. Another thank you to Mrs. Newton and Mrs. Torgerson for organizing the run and to everyone who went out and collected or donated pledges. We raised $8971.55. With donations still trickling in, it will be easily over $9000!!! Way to go Pierceland.
