It was a sea of pink shirts in support of bully awareness on Wednesday. Students donned pink shirts, hairbands, bracelets or whatever they could find to make a stand against bullying.
The tradition began in Nova Scotia by two remarkable high school boys. They did not ignore the bullying of a new grade 9 student but instead distributed pink shirts to all the boys in their high school in support of this grade 9 student. With this overwhelming show of support, the bullies backed off.
During our pep rally, we were treated to an amazing dance performance and a slide show created by one of our own grade 8 students both promoting bully awareness.
