Last week!

With the countdown to Christmas ticking away at what seems to be an ever increasing pace, PCS events have not slowed down at all. Last Friday saw a very well-attended dance. This Friday we are hosting our annual Christmas Dinner at 12 pm at the Community Hall. Please bring a non-perishable food item or $1 for charity. Next Tuesday (December 18) is the Elementary Christmas Concert. That takes place at 7:00 pm also at the Community Hall. You'll want to come early to get a good seat as it always brings in a good crowd. Wednesday, the 19th is our annual Ski Day for Grades 3 to 12. And lastly, we wrap things up on Thursday with the Panther Cup floor hockey tournament. Students are encouraged to wear school or house colours and support their team. Thursday is also Hat Day for $1 - proceeds to charity. Also, we are still accepting new toy donations in front of the main office. School resumes on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013. Hope everyone has a peaceful and joyous Christmas season! See you in the New Year.

Report Cards / Interviews

This year report cards can be picked up by parents one day early (Monday, November 5 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm) so that parents have a chance to discuss the report card with their child prior to interviews. Report card pick up continues through to Wednesday after school. On Thursday, any report cards not picked up will only then be sent home with the student.

Interviews will take place Tuesday, November 6 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Wednesday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. As always, interviews are on a drop-in basis. If you have multiple teachers to visit, please plan to arrive early so that you can conclude your interviews by the end time. We look forward to discussing your child's academic journey with you this week.

Thursday saw another great day for track and field as 15 athletes who had advanced from Divisions last week competed in a variety of events today. Many did very well and 4 are advancing to Provincials next week in Saskatoon. One student threw a record-breaking javelin in her category. Great job to everyone who attended. You made your school proud!

Bully Awareness Day

It was a sea of pink shirts in support of bully awareness on Wednesday. Students donned pink shirts, hairbands, bracelets or whatever they could find to make a stand against bullying.
The tradition began in Nova Scotia by two remarkable high school boys. They did not ignore the bullying of a new grade 9 student but instead distributed pink shirts to all the boys in their high school in support of this grade 9 student. With this overwhelming show of support, the bullies backed off.
During our pep rally, we were treated to an amazing dance performance and a slide show created by one of our own grade 8 students both promoting bully awareness.
